Facebook piloting page searches and Apple’s ‘Live Photos’

Brand managers might soon be able to search their pages for previously posted content. Selected U.S. users have access during the testing phase.

Facebook is testing a feature that will enable users to search content from a specific Facebook page. Marketing Land reported that a Facebook rep confirmed the test, which is being piloted by a “small number of U.S. English users.” The feature builds on a test of profile searches:

… To make it easier to find posts from a single source, Facebook is testing a new feature to enable searching within a Page. It’s an extension of a pilot program that allows searching within people’s profiles that surfaced last month.

Users with the feature see a search box on their pages. The tool highlights searched-for terms in posted articles, as seen here in a screenshot from SocialTimes.
