Facebook introduced Live—the social network’s version of Meerkat or Periscope—in August , but that was available to only a handful of celebrities, public figures and users with large Facebook followings.
Now, Facebook is rolling Live out to iPhone users. On Thursday, roughly 5 percent of iOS Facebook users gained access, but it’ll expand to more users in the upcoming weeks.
Live lets you show the people you care about what you’re seeing in real time — whether you’re visiting a new place, cooking your favorite recipe, or just want to share some thoughts. No matter where you are, Live lets you bring your friends and family right next to you to experience what’s happening together.
