Facebook rolls out verified business pages
The social network announced that small- and medium-sized organizations could grab badges for official accounts.

Mom-and-pop shops can now get in on the action. This week, the social giant started adding verified badges to certain local businesses’ pages.
Marketing Land explained how the badges work:
The badges come in the form of gray check marks — to differentiate them from the blue checks displayed on verified Pages for celebrities, public figures, sports teams and other media and entertainment organizations — and are available for businesses with a physical location in the US, Canada, Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand.
