Fans of ‘The Voice’ ask Nintendo to honor cast member in new game

Change.org petitions have become an increasingly strong force to be reckoned with. In the wake of a past performer’s death, signatures have piled up. Here’s how the brand replied.

Christina Grimmie—the 22-year-old singer who was tragically shot and killed after a performance earlier this month—was also a huge fan of the Zelda video game franchise.

In the wake of her death, Grimmie’s supporters have petitioned video game giant Nintendo to include a character in its next installment named after the pop star.

Two Change.org petitions (here and here) are making the call, but Nintendo doesn’t seem willing to comply.
