Paying taxes can be a pain, but marketers for brands both big and small used Twitter to reward consumers for their due diligence. Here’s what they drummed up on social media.

Paying your taxes on time is serious business, but today’s marketers relish a good tax joke.
This year—thanks to Emancipation Day—consumers had additional time to file their taxes, and brand managers made the most of Monday’s deadline with a variety of ads, freebies and tax humor.
Social media managers used the trending #TaxDay hashtag to reward, educate and entice consumers for ponying up their share to Uncle Sam.
