GM’s PR chief to retire
Steve Harris, General Motor’s vice president of global communications, will retire effective Oct. 1, according to the Detroit Free Press . This is Harris’ second retirement from GM. He rejoined the company in 2006. Chris Preuss, vice president of GM Europe communications and global product communications, will replace Harris and report to GM Vice Chairman Bob Lutz. The move is seen as part of a broader reorganization for the automaker, which recently emerged from bankruptcy.
