According to a report in The New York Times, the average household income for 1 percenters range from $380,000 a year to the billions. The report provided a graphic that reveals the number of 1 percenters in various industries. For instance, there are about 7,300 reporters and editors in this group, Poynter.org noted in its own analysis of the data.

How many PR professionals are in this group?

Hard to say exactly, because the data in the Times story lumps PR into management analyst. In this category, there are 32,229 members of the 1 percent. It’s a large number, but it only represents 6.8 percent of the 476,016 people in this industry.
