In the time before blogs, media did little to police itself
So-called mainstream media takes a shellacking everyday in the blogosphere. And, when you think about it, this published criticism of journalism is rather new. Aside from a few notable media critics, most criticism of journalism took place in alternative weeklies. Now, bloggers are holding the media’s collective feet over the fire.
