According to this infographic from BuySellAds.com, the number of apps downloaded worldwide more than doubled in the last year to 17.7 billion from 8.2 billion. Even better, revenue from those apps has tripled, to a (projected) $15.1 billion in 2011 from $5.2 billion in 2010.
