Infographic: Frequent Facebook users are hurting their self-esteem

This graphic shows how the social network affects users and their relationships. In some cases, the effects are harmful.

Sick of interacting with her long-distance friends via Facebook only, she pounded out an email to a select few insisting she was done with the social network and would dedicate herself to more personal communication—even if that meant email.

Nearly six months after this memo mission statement, she has avoided the habit.

According to this infographic from All Facebook and Online Dating University, Facebook no longer affects my wife’s life. However, if she started checking the site rarely or sometimes, it might boost her self-esteem.
