Some major changes concern the media upheaval, with newspapers giving way to online news. 

Here are some key insights:

  • Newspapers have declined, and newsrooms overall employ fewer people (down 23% in the last decade alone).
  • Social media has made crisis communication more important than ever for PR pros.
  • PR metrics have evolved from outdated measures like AVE to share of voice, SEO impact and web traffic.
