The fourth Monday of January is Community Manager Appreciation Day, a kind of pseudo-holiday started by analyst Jeremiah Owyang in 2010 to “recognize, and celebrate the efforts community managers around the world to improve customer experiences.”
The role of community manager is an emergent one—the most popular, in fact, among social media teams, according to the Altimeter Group.
