The Web has been buzzing about a video of the Tampa Bay Rays’ Evan Longoria barehanded catch to save a reporter. It’s an amazing video. But is it legit?

Evan Longoria of the Tampa Bay Rays catches a baseball barehanded while a reporter interviewed him. He perhaps literally saved her life.
The video appeared on YouTube on May 6 and has grabbed more than 1 million views.
But here’s the thing: It might be a fake. The Deadspin blog has said “there’s no way” it’s legitimate.
