It’s Target vs. Lady Gaga in kerfuffle over gay rights

The performer dumped a business deal with the retailer claiming it failed in its commitment to the LGBT community. Target has responded.

Gaga had planned to release a special edition of her new album “Born This Way” in Target stores. There was one caveat—Gaga reportedly said the retailer had to “make amends” for donating to organizations or politicians opposed to certain rights for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) community.

Target came under fire last year for donating to a Minnesota gubernatorial candidate with anti-LGBT views.

Apparently, Target is not bending to Gaga’s demands because she backed out of the deal.
