J. C. Penney: Tea kettle’s resemblance to Hitler ‘unintended’

The retailer, which was listed among the brands most likely to disappear by 2014, is now taking heat over a billboard featuring a tea kettle that observers say resembles Adolf Hitler.

The billboard hovers over the busy 405 freeway near Culver City, Calif. It features a Michael Graves-designed tea kettle that retails for $40, and can be found online here.

Reddit users were the first to clamor over it in a post that garnered more than 100 comments.
