In 1996, Jack I. Box—spokesman and (fictitious) CEO of Jack in the Box—beat Bill Clinton and Bob Dole (and Dogbert) in an independent Virtual Vote, in which the only pickle Jack found was on one of his restaurant chain’s burgers.

The Ball State University alum didn’t actually take office, but with all of Jack’s work as a public spokesman for his franchise, there’s quite a bit the company’s newest corporate communications intern could learn from the founder.
