Joe Paterno working with PR firm TMG strategies
The firm’s clients include General Motors, Coca-Cola, and IBM.
The former head football coach at Penn State was fired last week over allegations that he knew about—and didn’t report to the police—instances of child sexual abuse by his longtime defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky.
Amid the fallout, Paterno has hired a crisis communications firm, TMG Strategies, which is based in the Washington, D.C. area.
The public and media learned of the move after Paterno’s son tweeted that all future media inquires would be handled by TMG’s Dan McGinn (and shared his phone number—wonder if that’s come back to burn him).
TMG’s client roster includes General Motors, Coca-Cola, and IBM.
