Judge boots juror over Facebook post
We are surrounded by idiots. While serving jury duty in a resisting-arrest case, Hadley Jons, a 20-year-old Detroit-area woman, posted this message to Facebook: “Gonna be fun to tell the defendant they’re GUILTY.” This was before the defense had started its case. Sigh . The judge removed Jons from the jury, fined her $250, and ordered her to write a five-page essay on the constitutional right to a fair trial. (The defendant was found guilty, by the way.)
