Lego to discontinue partnership with Shell after Greenpeace campaign

Three months after an environmental campaign that has picked up traction throughout the online community, the toy company announced it would not renew its contract with the energy company.

Remember that Greenpeace video that skewered Lego for its relationship with Shell Oil Company? It worked!

Here’s a reminder in case you weren’t among the 6 million to view this video:

This week, Lego announced it would not continue its $110 million marketing deal with Shell, which included Shell-branded toy sets. Lego has partnered with the company since the 1960s.
