Love PR Daily? Come work for us!

PR Daily needs a new co-editor. If this website takes up a huge chunk of your day as it is already, why not give it a shot?

If you love PR Daily so much that you dream about working for it, your time has come. If you like to complain about all the stuff you would do to make PR Daily better, your time may have come, too. We’re looking for someone to take on the position of co-editor of the No. 1 PR news site on the Web. Sounds like a sweet gig, right? Perhaps if not for yourself, maybe for an experienced writer and editor in your life. Here are some of the duties of the job:

  • Writing daily stories about the world of public relations and marketing
  • Editing posts sent in by freelancers and other contributors
  • Working with freelancers on a daily basis to assign stories
  • Story selection (which means developing a close friendship with an RSS reader)
  • Seeking out and editing appropriate artwork/photos to accompany stories
  • Posting stories to the website on a daily schedule
  • Updating PR Daily‘s social media sites
  • Working with Ragan Communications’ marketing, sponsorship, awards, and events teams on special projects

And here are the key attributes of a PR Daily co-editor:

  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • A love for PR Daily
  • A sharp wit
  • A familiarity with the public relations industry, marketing, and social media
  • Great news judgment

If you have some experience with photo editing tools such as Photoshop and GIMP, as well as with seeking out amusing but appropriate (and legal) art for online articles, that’s a big plus, too. You’d have the option of working in Ragan’s downtown Chicago office, though people who prefer to work from home have that option as well. Health insurance, dental, and a 401K plan are all available. If you’re interested, send a cover letter (try to make it fun to read), resume and writing samples to
