Merged Vocus and Cision announce new name, headquarters

After joining forces over the summer, PR and and social media software providers Vocus and Cision have announced a new name and a new base of operations.

The 1,500-person company will operate as Cision and be headquartered in Chicago’s One Prudential Plaza. Vocus was previously headquartered in Beltsville, Md., while Cision was based in Stockholm, Sweden. Cision CEO Peter Granat said, “We are thrilled to move an international company’s headquarters here to the U.S. and be part of Chicago’s budding tech scene.” The company will also have offices in Canada, England, France, Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, and China.
