Microsoft, Yahoo form pact to take on Google

The search engine war just escalated. Microsoft and Yahoo announced Wednesday that they will team up to challenge Google. “Under the 10-year deal, Microsoft will integrate Yahoo search technology into its existing Web search platforms,” CNNMoney.com’s David Goldman wrote. “Microsoft’s new search tool, Bing, will power Yahoo sites. Yahoo will sell premium ads on both sites. Microsoft and Yahoo will share revenue on traffic generated on Yahoo’s network.”
