More than half of US population not using Twitter, Facebook or MySpace

Despite recent reports that Twitter use has surged to 19 million visitors, it seems coverage of the micro-blogging service may outweigh its actual use by the public. A recent survey by Harris Interactive found that 51 percent of Americans do not use Twitter or either of the nation’s two most popular social networking sites, Facebook and MySpace. The survey said 48 percent of Web users in the U.S. have either Facebook or MySpace pages, while a mere five percent of Americans use Twitter. Related Wire…
