Mysterious ‘Deserve to Die’ campaign pops up across the U.S.

Hipsters, the genetically privileged, your crazy old aunts, and even cat lovers—they’ve all earned the right to meet their maker, at least according to new ads for a yet-to-be disclosed disease. UPDATE: Appears as though the Lung Cancer Alliance is the culprit.

Well, aside from both having dated Macaulay Culkin …

Actually, according to a new viral campaign that’s sweeping the nation, they both deserve to die, and they’re not alone.

Posters popping up across the U.S. in cities such as Chicago, Seattle, and New Orleans have decreed that a variety of people need to die, including hipsters, cat lovers, the tattooed, the smug, the genetically privileged, even your crazy old aunts.

The reason? It’s hard to say just yet.

What can be determined so far is that aside from angering onlookers, the provocative signage appears to be connected to an equally vague website called NoOneDeservesToDie.org, where the same images are accompanied by this ambiguous message:
