Newspaper group discovers obvious: Editors fear effects of cutbacks

Just in case you thought the massive layoffs at newspapers were going to help them deliver more news, well, you were wrong—and in need of shock treatments. A survey by the Associated Press Managing Editors found that U.S. newspaper executives believe shrinking newsrooms are diminishing their ability to inform readers. Glad we figured that out.
