Nielsen report reveals online marketing potential

Most consumers purchase from third party websites such as Amazon, but a Nielsen report finds many want to buy straight from brands’ websites.

Nielsen has released its “Global Trust in Advertising” report, and there’s good news for businesses that offer e-commerce (and opportunities for those that don’t).

Most consumers are making their purchases directly from third party sites such as Amazon.com, but 88 percent say they would buy directly from the brand if they could. That gap in shopping patterns presents an opportunity for those brands, according to the report.
