‘No comment’: Groupon CEO explains what he won’t be transparent about

In a blog post last week, Andrew Mason kindly told reporters—and the general public—what questions will elicit a ‘no comment.’

Mason is chief of Groupon, which famously turned down a $6 billion offer from Google.

In a blog post last week, the 30-year-old CEO said:

“As press interest in Groupon has grown, I’ve found myself increasingly uttering two words that have always annoyed me: ‘no comment.’ We like to be as transparent with our customers as possible, but, just as people don’t walk around naked, there are some things that we as a company don’t talk about (for obvious reasons).”
