No iPhone for T-Mobile customers—yet

Big news in the business world this morning is that AT&T plans to buy T-Mobile for $39 billion. But that doesn’t mean you’ll be able to trade in your Sidekick for an iPhone.

So, does that mean T-Mobile customers will have the iPhone?

No—or, at least, not yet.

T-Mobile said:

It “remains an independent company. The acquisition is expected to be completed in approximately 12 months. We do not offer the iPhone. We offer cutting edge devices like the Samsung Galaxy S 4G and coming soon our new Sidekick 4G,’ states the document.”
