Now that’s a sales pitch! NYT publisher insults nonpaying readers

Arthur Sulzberger Jr. says only high school students and the unemployed will read the Times without paying for it. Oh, really?

Well, then, you must be unemployed—or a high school student.

At least, that’s what Times publisher Arthur Sulzberger told Forbes. He said the people who will find a way to get a hold of his paper’s content for free will be “mostly high-school kids and people who are out of work.”

“I can’t believe I just said that,” he added.
