Oregon agency gets creative in product testing
Crafting genuine marketing campaigns for your brand might be easier if you dedicated more time to trying and sampling its products. That’s how one agency’s latest campaign went viral.
Many PR pros would argue that the most effective agency employees are the ones that most fervently and enthusiastically use their clients’ products.
The Roundhouse agency from Portland, Oregon, apparently agrees.
It sent copywriter, Lee Kimball, into the woods for five days armed with only products from its client roster, including:
• Adidas • Faust • Finex • LA Galaxy • Leatherman • Leupold Optics • Microsoft • Reebok • Redington • Red Bull • Rio • Treehouse Chocolate • Widmer Brothers • Yeti
The Living off the Brands experiment ended June 22, and Kimball documented just about every step in the process via Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and Periscope. FREE DOWNLOAD: Time management and Productivity: A Guide for Corporate Communicators.
For avid outdoor types, it might have been difficult to watch Kimball struggle to find food and water (as Treehouse Chocolate was the only food item on the Roundhouse client roster).
