Philadelphia Inquirer will charge for content as cross-town rival folds

The Philadelphia Inquirer will launch a paid content model on its Web site by the end of the year, Technically Philly reported. No clear details have emerged about the decision. Executives from the Inquirer attended a secret meeting of other newspaper honchos outside Chicago last week. Wonder when the other attendees of that meeting will begin charging? Meanwhile, The Bulletin newspaper in Philadelphia has folded after five years of existence.
