Pinterest and Path battle over ‘P’ logos
You have to look closely to tell the designs of the two social media services apart, so both brands are hoping to lock down their claims to the letter.

That’s the conundrum that social media sites Pinterest and Path are now facing.
Pinterest, known for its white stylized “P” over a red background, filed for a trademark on its logo. Path, also known for its white stylized “P” over a red background, is looking to oppose that trademark registration, and asked for an extension with the U.S. trademark office.
