If PR pros need even more proof that they should be looking to non-traditional news sources to disseminate their story, trust in the mainstream media has reached an all-time low.
That’s according to a Gallup poll that reveals that only 40 percent of Americans trust mass media to report “the news fully, accurately and fairly.” It matches the all-time low number it reached in 2012. Compare that with 1997-2003, where the confidence level hovered between 53-55 percent.
