Ben Dobson

Ben Dobson joined the team that built and launched DC News Now in December, 2021. He brings more than twenty years of television news and management experience to the role. He is proud to lead a team of more than 80 journalists and production personnel who collectively deliver more than 70 hours of news and public affairs programming per week, and create content for digital platforms.

Dobson joined DC News Now after a decade at NBCUniversal, holding progressively senior roles in the Hartford, CT and Boston, MA television markets. His last stop prior to DC included running the news department serving three channels: NBC10 Boston, New England Cable News (NECN) and Telemundo Boston. He is a graduate of Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY and lives inside the District.
