Christopher Breslin

Chris Breslin is Vice President and Head of Strategic Businesses Communications at New York Life, where he leads communications for a portfolio of seven businesses spanning insurance, asset management, annuities, and employee benefits — collectively representing approximately half of the company’s earnings and 7,000 employees. He serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, shaping communications that support business growth, transformation, and reputation. Breslin oversees internal and external communications, media relations, and executive visibility, and has led significant efforts to modernize communications operations — introducing performance metrics, redesigning team structures, and integrating emerging technologies such as generative AI to increase efficiency and impact.

Breslin has broad experience leading communications through complex, high-stakes business moments, including large-scale transformations, M&A, and enterprise change initiatives.  Prior to New York Life, he held communications leadership roles at Voya Financial and MetLife, where he oversaw financial communications and employee, external and executive communications for several business lines spanning asset management, retirement, and insurance.
