Dan Kneeshaw
Director, Content and Channels, WW Ops Internal Communications - Amazon
With over five years at Amazon, Dan leads a global team within Ops Internal Communications focused on defining, creating, and distributing informative and authentic content to Amazon’s front-line employees. His organization spans Creative Services (including broadcast studios in Nashville and Seattle), News and Editorial, Channels Production, Social Media (including the @AmazonVestLife operations employee experience), Global Campaigns, and Research and Insights. The team engages with employees around the globe to find and tell their stories–showcasing the amazing things they do and highlighting what it means to be Amazonian. This work also uncovers compelling stories about employees which are shared both internally and externally in partnership with stakeholders across Amazon’s owned channels, social media, and other platforms.
Prior to Amazon, Dan spent nearly ten years at Walmart where he was Senior Director of Digital Strategy and Brand Engagement, leading the company’s corporate digital channels and web content production teams—including the corporate site, OneWalmart (associate intranet/extranet), Workplace by Facebook, and the associate email campaign program. Before Walmart, Dan spent six years at Sprint leading the company’s internal enterprise-wide information portal effort, encompassing strategy development, operations, governance, and content management.
Dan is a graduate of Missouri State University where he earned both a double major Bachelor of Arts degree (Communications and History) and a Master of Arts in Communications. He currently resides in Nashville with his wife, Barbara.
