Frances Shields Dedeian, CEBS, SHRM-SCP

Frances Shields Dedeian is the Director of Human Resources, Benefits & DEI for Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas), where she plays a pivotal role in driving a people-centered workplace culture that aligns with global business strategy. Since joining Mitsubishi International Corporation as Benefits Manager, Frances has steadily advanced through key leadership roles—including Deputy General Manager, Benefits Group Company Support, and General Manager, Human Resources Administration—before being appointed to her current position.

With deep expertise in employee benefits, wellbeing, engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), Frances brings a strategic, solutions-oriented approach to human capital management. She leads the design, development, financial oversight, and compliance of comprehensive benefit programs—including health and welfare and and retirement plans—across multiple U.S.-based group companies.

In addition to advising senior executives and HR teams on aligning human resources strategies with broader corporate goals, Frances oversees Mitsubishi’s award-winning Wellbeing Program and spearheads employee engagement and recognition initiatives for MCA and affiliated U.S. entities. Her leadership has been instrumental in enhancing employee experience, advancing inclusion, and supporting long-term organizational resilience.

In her free time, Frances enjoys spending time with family, working on home design projects, hiking and going to the beach.
