Kristina Markos is  a Co-founder of GenSpark Solutions, a service-based platform that helps employers in the communications industry recruit, retain, and manage intergenerational teams. Through GenSpark, Kristina brings a career-focused lens to talent development, offering research-backed strategies that address the disconnect between early-career professionals and evolving workplace expectations. Her work centers on building inclusive, adaptable, and strategically aligned teams across the communications sector.

Kristina is an NACE-certified career coach and currently serves as Associate Professor and Chair of the Graduate Communication Program at Lasell University, where she teaches public relations, strategic communications, and social media with an emphasis on career development. Drawing on close to 20 years of communications industry experience, she integrates real-world insights into the classroom and prepares students to enter today’s dynamic media landscape.

Previously, Kristina was an Associate Professor of Practice and Internship Director at the Gwen Ifill College at Simmons University. She has also taught career education courses at Bentley University and maintains strong ties to the professional community as a board member of the PR Club, serving communications industry professionals in New England.

Kristina holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Bowling Green State University and a dual Master’s degree in Liberal Studies and Communication from the University of Toledo. Her approach blends hands-on experience, strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to mentoring the next generation of communicators.
