Yasmeen Sami Alamiri
Senior Editor for Video and Special Projects - PBS NewsHour
Yasmeen Sami Alamiri is an award-winning journalist that is currently serving as the senior editor for video and special projects at the PBS NewsHour. Prior to her role, Alamiri was a White House correspondent for 15 years for a variety of news outlets-- both foreign and domestic. In the course of her television reporting career, she interviewed presidents, prime ministers and world leaders alike. She has also reported extensively from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
She has a graduate degree in Journalism from American University and a bachelor's degree in English Literature from James Madison University.
