Report: Edelman and Burger King to split as chain makes product its priority

Edelman has worked with the fast-food chain since 2005, but it passed on the account after Burger King issued an RFP this month, Advertising Age reports.

An executive close to the account told Ad Age that Burger King plans to “cut back significantly on its PR spending.” Burger King, which has experienced declining sales, will likely focus more on its product than its brand image, according to Ad Age.
