Report: Most LinkedIn users don’t use the site

With the number of users on LinkedIn at roughly 100 million, you might be surprised to find out how many members regularly check in.

If you said “not often,” you’re in the majority of the site’s roughly 100 million members.

BNet’s Steve Edwards uncovered a rather provocative statement in LinkedIn’s initial public offering document: “… a substantial majority of our members do not visit our website on a monthly basis, and a substantial majority of our page views are generated by a minority of our members.” Edwards added: “The company also warned that it cannot tell the difference between an inactive or deceased member and an active user.”
