Scientist says Twitter may turn you a-moral

A study found that humans take longer to process emotions of admiration and compassion than they do physical pain. This has an implication for heavy Twitter users, who digest up-to-the-second updates, said one of the study’s authors, Mary Helen Immordino-Yang. “If things are happening too fast, you may not ever fully experience emotions about other people’s psychological states and that would have implications for your morality,” Immordino-Yang said.
