Word nerds—they have the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
The event, which kicked off today, features 275 spellers from all 50 states, plus U.S. territories and foreign countries. The spellers range in age from 8 to 15.
Twitter members have weighed in on the event with the hashtag #SpellingBee, and Scripps Bee feed has fueled their interest by sharing info and pics, such as this image of the 25 words from the first-round.
