Should RadioShack dump Lance Armstrong as its spokesman?

In a recent article in the Fort Worth Star-Telegraph, several PR pros weighed in on whether the company should stand by its man.

The electronics store has been the major sponsor of one of the world’s premier cycling teams since 2009, and it features Armstrong in a series of commercials as the company’s fictitious “Chief Mobility Officer.”

Armstrong has vehemently denied doping claims levied against him by such reputable media outlets as Sports Illustrated, The New York Times, and, most recently, “60 Minutes.”

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram was among the first outlets to highlight the difficult situation facing RadioShack: Does the company cut its most visible spokesman, as so many companies did with Tiger Woods after his scandal?
