When the Weather Channel’s Jim Cantore and former U.S. Treasury Secretary Harry Paulson team up to judge a contest, you know it’s legit.
The global conservation organization Rare is seeking to raise awareness for disaster preparedness and is giving away $25,000 for the best idea that could help a community prepare for natural calamities.
Rare is using its “Solution Search” tool, where organizations can submit their ideas to reduce risks from weather-related disasters, along with other preservation solutions.
Cantore and Paulson will join four other high-profile dudes (what, no women can judge disaster preparedness?) to help determine a winner.
