Start pitching reporters at Metro USA papers—they need your help

Metro USA newspapers canceled its contract with the Associated Press effective Apr. 1. Numerous stories in Metro USA’s daily commuter newspapers came from, or were adapted from, AP wire service items. Editor-in-chief Tony Metcalf said Metro USA’s existing staff will write more original stories. Also, the newspaper company is hiring new writers to provide “a higher degree of flexibility and results in a product which is more relevant to the young, professional audience” Metro USA…
