Study: Most people use Twitter to keep in touch with friends

Twitter isn’t a very fun place, according to a recent survey from research company TNS and The Conference Board. Just 0.3 percent of Twitter users surveyed said they visit the site “for fun.” The main reason for using Twitter, which 41.6 percent of respondents cited, was to keep in touch with friends. The average Twitter user interacted primarily with friends and family, according to the survey.
