Study: Your e-customers don’t like your recommendations

A survey from ChoiceStream found that more than one-half of Internet users were unhappy with product recommendations they received at e-commerce sites last year, eMarketer reported. The survey marked a 14 percent increase in dissatisfaction from 2008 to 2009. Why the drop? “ChoiceStream attributed the change to heightened consumer expectations as well as a lower level of expertise among e-tailers, many of which are new to automated recommendations,” according to eMarketer .
