Survey: Majority of companies handling social media in-house

Interesting results from a new survey on social-media marketing activities. Nearly half (47 percent) of those polled by PRWeek and public relations agency MS&L said they tap existing marketing and communications staff to handle social media. Thirteen percent said they’ve hired additional people for social media marketing, and a mere 5 percent indicated they hire an outside agency. Who’s handing your social media? — Susan Young
