Survey: More than half of respondents ‘overwhelmed by brand messages’ on social media

They feel that one or two Facebook messages per day from a brand are too many, according to the study.

That’s one of the big takeaways from a report out last week from PR firm C&M and TolunaQuick, a company that makes tools for online survey. According to the report, more than 50 percent of the respondents “felt overwhelmed by brand messages on social media.”

There is some good news, though. According to the study, 45 percent of people choose to interact with brands on social media; 80 percent “like” brands on Facebook; and nearly 50 percent tap social and other online resources for brand news and updates.
